What’s the next best thing to having a personal beauty concierge on speed dial? This app. Created by the founder of one of the largest aesthetic clinics in Singapore, Dr Low Chai Ling, SW1 App features facial and consultation bookings, but we won’t lie – it’s the promos that we really like.

Its clean and simple interface is easy to navigate and while it’s created primarily for SW1 members, beauty seekers like us stand to benefit too. “SW1 to me, is more than just a clinic. This app takes a lot of the guesswork out of choosing the right hair colour and style. To complement your trip to the hairstylist’s, L’Oréal Professionnel’s Style My Hair offers a digital hairstyle studio with the trendiest cut and color options. It uses leading tech provider ModiFace trialling AR technology in collaboration with L’Oréal to provide the most advanced and realistic 3D hair and face simulation.

From ‘on trend’ pastels to vibrant ‘colourful’ and ‘warm browns’, its extensive range of colours can be paired with a desired hair cut to complete the look. “It will give the most realistic idea of how your new colour will look like on you and represents a key tool for hairdressers to upgrade the diagnosis session,” says L’Oréal Professionnel hair artist, Matthew Collins.

While these apps aren’t perfect, they’re the most advanced we’ve yet to use and with forthcoming updates, there’s certainly much to look forward to.
