Non-Surgical Solutions For Eyebags

undereye fillers
Before (left) and after (right) tear trough fillers

How:

Be it due your natural facial structure or due to aging, volume loss in the cheeks create hollowing under the eyebags, accentuating their existence. Without going under the knife, eyebags can be camouflaged by “erasing” these hollows (aka tear troughs) with dermal fillers, or fat grafting.

Suitable For:

Mild eyebags

Downtime:

Mild swelling and bruising (can be covered with concealers) for 2 -3 days

Cost (Approximate):

2.  Stealth Surgery

Scarless Eyebag Removal Surgery

Transconjuctival blepharoplasty
Before (left) and after (right) scarless eyebag surgery

How:

Eyebag fat is extracted from behind the lower eyelid under local anaesthesia. The inner surface behind the eyelid is also known as the conjunctiva of the eyes. Also known as called “transconjunctival blepharoplasty”, this option is popular with younger patients because it is scarless and has little downtime.

Suitable For:

Eyebags with minimal excess skin

Downtime:

Mild swelling and bruising (can be covered with concealers) for 2 -3 days

Cost (Approximate):

$3500

3.  The Full Works

Eyebag Surgery With Cheek Lift

eyeball surgery
Before (left) and after (right) lower blepharoplasty with cheek lift

How:

Often accompanying eyebags are loose, wrinkled skin and sagging cheeks. If you have this triad, plastic surgeons would recommend to beautify the entire lower eyelid area with a lower blepharoplasty, cheek lift and possibly fat grafting (especially if you have lost cheek volume). The incision for this surgery is placed along the lower lashline. The scar is obvious for about a week and gradually fades out.

Suitable For:

Eyebags with lax skin and sagging cheeks

Downtime:

Mild to moderate swelling and bruising for 1 -2 weeks.

Cost (Approximate):

$5000
